The Joseph Bentley Gardeners Gift Sets are a wonderful amalgam of value and style. Not only do they look amazing, they are also very competitively priced . With an ever increasing variety of sets there is bound to be one perfect for that extra special occasion!
When we first created the Traditional Range we were struck by how many people thought the tools would make ideal presents both for the enthusiastic gardener and even more tellingly - for themselves!

The larger items such as the Digging Spade and Forks would be difficult to supply gift wrapped, but the Hand Tools were the perfect combination of size and price. We then set about creating packaging for the sets.

We wanted the presentation to be attractive but also innovative and functional. Clearly the sets should be easy to wrap and so supplying them boxed was a high priority. We also thought that the actual box itself should be more than just cardboard. The tools have a wonderful look and feel to them - so should the packaging.

Once again the Joseph Bentley Catalogue was to provide the inspiration. An entire section of the 1930’s catalogue was devoted to wooden seed boxes and fruit baskets. You may well remember the stacks of wooden seed boxes in your grandparents potting shed! Here was the perfect solution.

We elected to recreate the wooden seed box from the original dimensions printed in the catalogue. The boxes are manufactured here in the UK too. So not only are the Gift Sets well presented and simple to wrap, you can actually use the packaging!
